Windows 95 will not *always* allow you to enter control characters as you normally would. Instead of pressing Ctrl-T for spell-checking, try entering the character as Alt-0-2-0 on your keypad instead. If Windows 95 is the problem then that might work. The control character problem sems to be erratic but that may be due to the fact that, at times, some *other* program running in the background may have set the specific control key as one of its available "hot keys".
