Some Anti-Virus precautions: 1. Create a bootable system floppy disk on a CLEAN system, preferably one with the same DOS version as you have. 2. Download an antivirus programme that will fit on the floppy disk using the CLEAN PC. (I sort of like F-PROT but anything that doesn't have the name "InVircible" (stay away from that one) should be ok.) Then WRITE PROTECT THE FLOPPY DISK. 3. Boot your machine with a COLD BOOT (turn the power OFF and then ON with the floppy disk in drive A:). Do NOT use CTRL-ALT-DEL as some viruses can survive that. 4. Use the antivirus programme to check your system for the virus. If any are found, follow the antivirus instructions for cleaning your system. Don't forget that if you use the infected system to download the antivirus software then IT could get infected before it has a chance to do its job.
