If you're using graphics (gifs, jpegs, etc) on your page, you will need to put alt="" behind the url otherwise Lynx will add the inline name in an effort to tell its users that there is an image located on the page. This is new to Lynx 2.4. If your image is: Make it: This will tell Lynx not to try to explain the image file to those who can't see it. It will then be invisible to non-graphics browser users. If you use Shift-*, Lynx will create a downloadable link to each and every image on the screen so that you can download and view these graphis on your home computer.
