If you receive email that is uu-encoded, you will need to follow the instructions below in order to decode it so that you will be able to read the message contained in the email: 1. Export your email message to your home account as a file by pressing 'e' then giving it a simple like mail.uue (it is important to use the .uue code at the end for the UU-decoding program look for that extension to run automatically. Because every computer system is different, I'll assume a PC. Apple IIs and GSs use GSCII+ to uu-decode items downloaded on those platforms. 2. Download the file to your home computer like you would any ordinary file. 3. Go to the PDA (g pda) and to the DOS/Compression/Conversion directory where you will find UUUtils. Download this file to your computer and either unzip it or run it (depending if it's zipped or an .exe). This will create the necessary programs you need to decode your file. 4. Run the program called UUDECODE.EXE using the command: uudecode c:\mail 5. Use a word processor to view the result.
