• Friends of MacNab's Island Society has a beach sweep, leaving the cable wharf at 10:00am returns, leaving the island at 4pm. Volunteers should bring lunch, sturdy footwear and work gloves. For info: 434 2254/445 4408 and YES: the barbeque is on!
